As many of you are probably aware of the current server situation.

The attacker used an exploit of an php script to upload the malicious script to the server. The malicious script was then triggered and ran another batch of script that changed the index files of web sites server-wide. That is why you are seeing the "defaced message" currently being displayed on your websites.

In order to fix this message, simply delete the index.html, index,htm, or index.php currently on your website and upload the original index file back onto the account. If your script uses an template system, also make sure your template's index page is also replaced.

It is unfortunate our server was attacked. However, we feel this is purely an isolated incident. This is the first time in our 4 years of history we have faced this level of attack. Having said that, we still strongly believe that our security was at the industry standard.

We had the choice to make the server *super* secure. HOWEVER there are always trade offs while implementing (suPHP). The trade off is that it will undoubtedly cripple or handicap some of the common scripts/functions used among the server, in which it almost leave the server unusable.
